In this academic project, I got the opportunity to work collaboratively with design students in my cohort both in Visual Communication Design and also from the disciplines of Industrial Design and Interior Space Design.

Our assigned goal was to research the experience of going through an airport and how that can be enhanced. Using various design research methods and techniques, we were able to identify that international travelers was the user group that had the most number of pain points, and based on our design insights, we were able to coming up with a solution that would empower the travelers and enable them to take control of their experience.

Ultimately, our solution was an airport lounge that features a natural, geodesic dome structure and innovative seating arrangements, which provide travelers a space where they can rest, relax, and refresh.
